The Clay Collective, a group of 9 potters based in South Central WI, boasts a combined total of over 250 years of experience and a wide variety of traditions. The Collective formed in 2012 to bring more pottery to the public by showcasing their art in the studios where it was created. Together, they represent styles in pottery ranging from Arts and Crafts to rustic wood-fired pottery.
This springtime, self-guided tour is anticipated by all who enjoy handmade pottery. It is nationally recognized as a gathering of exceptional potters. Always held on Mothers' Day weekend, "The Tour" is an opportunity to enjoy the hospitality of local potters in their rural studios. This year, you can meet 55 accomplished guest potters from around the nation. Each has been invited by their host potter especially for this weekend event.
The PPAF is an annual showcase of visual artwork by 120 juried artists working in clay, photography, painting, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, fiber, jewelry, wood and glass. The art fair hires a jury that consists of a panel of art professionals (i.e. working artists, art educators, professors or curators) who judge applicants’ work based on craftsmanship, originality, consistency and design.
